Use and maintenance of constant filling fluid coupling:
1.Assembly And Disassembly
a. The coupling, which is commonly made of aluminum alloy, cannot be directly hammered regardless assembly or disassembly; and in assembly, shafts of a working machine and a power machine should be coated by lubricating grease; and special tools for assembly and disassembly are available, if necessary, please make a note in your order.
b. For the coupling connected by a straight line, check and correct the axiality of the power machine shaft and the working machine shaft; for the coupling having an elastic shaft coupling, the axiality tolerance is below 0.3mm, and if the specification of the coupling is bigger and the rotary speed of the power machine is higher, the axiality tolerance is smaller.
c. For the belt pulley coupling, a cantilever is commonly mounted on the power machine shaft and fixed by tension bolts, and the tension bolts and the power machine are opposite in rotating direction.
d. All the couplings designed by the factory have disassembly bolt holes, and in disassembly, remove the coupling from the power machine shaft by a special screw rod.
2. Liquid Charging and Checking
a. The range of the liquid charging amount of the coupling is 50 to 80% of total volume.
b. The coupling commonly uses oil medium; the recommended working fluid is: hydraulic oil, fluid drive oil, refrigerating machine oil, motor oil and machine oil; and the coupling used in coal mines uses clean water and fire-resistant liquid as medium.
3. Safety Protection Device
a. A fusible plug, as an overheating protection device for the coupling, cannot be replaced by other plug screws.
The fusible plug can effectively avoid the overheating of the coupling, but the ejected working medium can cause pollution and inconvenience; and for special requirements of users, two types of non-ejection temperature control switches (non-contact type wireless audible and visual alarming device and lifting lever pushing travel switch device) can be adopted.
b. The fusible plug is mainly used for the coupling using water and fire-resistant liquid as medium.
a. The output rotary direction of the coupling is uniform to the rotary direction of the power machine, and the power machine can rotate forward or backward, but the sudden switching of forward rotation and backward rotation should be avoided.
b. Periodically check quality of the working medium and wearing conditions of the elastic block, and make a replacement in time.
c. Non-processionals should not assemble and disassemble the coupling at will so as to avoid the sealing and balance quality of the coupling.
d. The liquid charging amount of the coupling is no more than 80% of total volume.
a.While ordering, please mark out product model and specification, type, rotary direction, rotary speed, power, shaft diameter, shaft axis and key size of power machine and working machine, diameter of belt pulley, groove profile, number of grooves and diameter of braking wheel; and for the vertically mounted coupling, please mark out the sitting type or hanging type.

Use and Maintenance of Variable Speed Fluid Coupling:
1. Check before starting
a. Check an oil leveler to confirm whether the oil level is proper;
b. Check whether pipelines of the coupling and the cooling machine are correctly connected;
c. Check whether electric circuits of all instruments are correctly connected;
d. Check whether the shaft coupling and the protective cover are correctly mounted;
e. Check whether the amount of oil in the oil tank of the coupling is proper, and when the oil temperature is below 5℃, heat the working oil by an electric heater;
f. Check whether a guide tube of the coupling is adjusted to the minimum rotary speed device.
a. The coupling, which is equipped with an electric actuator, controls the electric actuator manually, manually-electrically or automatically to adjust the position of the guide tube to change the liquid charging amount in the cavity of the coupling, so that the output speed and the output torque of the coupling are changed.
b. When the guide tube of the coupling is fully inserted (0% position), the rotary speed is minimum, when the guide tube is fully pulled out (100% position), the rotary speed is maximum (can reach rated rotary speed and rated power). When the guide tube is adjusted from the 0% position to the 100% position, the adjusting speed must be slow, and in general, the adjustment time is within 25 seconds.
c. The speed-adjusting range of the coupling is different along with different working machines. The speed-adjusting range matching centrifugal type machinery is 1 to 1/5, and the speed-adjusting range matching constant torque type machinery is 1 to 1/3.
d. For the variable speed fluid coupling matching the centrifugal type machinery, its maximum heating working condition occurs at a transmission gear ratio i of 0.66, the maximum heating power consumption is nearly 15% of the rated power of the motor, so that the product should avoid working at the maximum heating point for a long time as much as possible.
e. For the variable speed fluid coupling matching the constant torque type machinery, the transmission gear ratio i is equal to efficiency, namely the bigger the speed adjustment, the bigger the wasted power, the bigger the heating amount, so that the speed of the variable speed fluid coupling matching the constant torque type machinery should not be greatly adjusted, particularly the product cannot work at a big transmission gear ratio for a long time.
f. When the output rotary speed of the coupling is quite low, namely the position of the guide tube is close to the 9% position, the noise not occurring when the product normally operates will possibly occur, which is caused by the siren effect generated when the opening of the guide tube encounters an oil drainage hole on the edge of a pump pulley. If this phenomenon occurs, the noise can be immediately eliminated just by slightly lifting the guide tube, and it does not belong to the fault of the coupling.
g. In operation, check whether the oil temperature and oil pressure of the coupling are normal at any time, and if finding anything unusual, you should find reasons and make troubleshooting in time.
3.Repair and Maintenance
a. Periodically check the oil level of the oil tank, and timely fill the oil tank;
b. When the new machine is operated for 500 hours, the oil filter of the oil suction pipe should be disassembled and cleaned;
c. Make shutdown maintenance by cooperating with the working machine, and periodically clean the oil feed pump and the oil filter;
d. Periodically check oil quality, and replace qualified working oil in time;
e. If the oil in the oil tank of the coupling needs to be drained, unscrew the oil drainage hole plugs on the lower parts of the input end and the output end of the oil tank or mount a stop valve on the oil drainage hole.
